About the Project
The reconstruction of meshes from a reduced set of points constitutes the core of this research.
The objective is to reconstruct a human face from simplified curves, also known as robust features.
This approach applies the Laplace operator to extract and preserve local details while reconstructing the global facial structure.
It enables realistic 3D modeling with low computational cost, opening possibilities for:
- Image compression
- Facial recognition systems
- Virtual avatar generation
